At Texprocess 2019, Vetron Typical Europe GmbH once more received the prestigious Texprocess Innovation Award.

It is the sixth time that the innovator from the German city of Kaiserslautern received these accolades – this time for the development of their Vetron Viper 3D robotic system. They are one of very few manufacturers who have won at least one award at every edition of the biennial Texprocess trade fair.

Innovation is the most important topic

Innovation is the most important topic inside the walls of the Vetron Typical Europe GmbH building, based in Industriegebiet Nord in the German city of Kaiserslautern. Founded in 2009 as a subsidiary of a Chinese sewing machine manufacturer, Vetron declared the technological advance of the industry to be its main mission from the start.

The numerous prizes the company has won are ample proof of its sound business and innovation strategies to which all employees are fully dedicated. Driven by the latest technologies, its competitors and clients’ needs, it continues to develop its portfolio with a keen eye on the future. Their focus on customer-centric solutions is at the heart of everything they do.

The advance of automation

Automation and its rapid progress are two of the most interesting trends in the industry today and therefore at the core of several Vetron projects. The company’s own brand “v_sion”, for example, offers an intelligent shop floor management system that combines production and process data with analyses and process expertise of the engineers working on it. The resulting smart network, a true Industry 4.0 product, has large benefits for all production sites processing textiles or leather.

After constant analysis of both the market and customers’ needs, it was only logical for Vetron to expand its product portfolio by a matching assortment of robotic solutions. The two most important factors in their development are an economical and ergonomic use of the products, especially at the interface with users and service engineers.

Vetron Viper 3D robotic system

Vetron was recently awarded a prize for its Viper 3D robotic system, which consists of a compact robotic cell (compared to traditional systems) and an extremely lightweight sewing machine at its centre. Due to its weight of only a few kilograms, it can be controlled by a comparably small robot. This universal robotic sewing cell, which will be available from 2020, has many possible uses, e.g. producing decorative stitching for car dashboards.

Smart products

In order to advance the development of smart products for modern customers of the future, Vetron will continue to focus on innovation. The company from Kaiserslautern is often proud to be the first to tackle obstacles, even if this means running higher risks. In those situations, they keep one saying in mind: “Imagining the impossible to make the imaginable possible.” True to this mindset, Vetron Typical Europe GmbH is already working on the next generation of automated solutions. The consequence for the industry? There is more to come!
